Districts are regulatory areas that divide the Waters of Alaska and the adjacent Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) into small units for the purpose of fisheries management. </SPAN></P><P><SPAN>Over the past several years, the department has undergone an extensive effort to correct and provide for accurate descriptions of commercial salmon fishing districts, sections and closed waters.
